New safe and Amazingly Simple Home Remedies

Amazingly Simple Home Remedies
1. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold the vegetables while you chop.

2. Avoid arguments with the females about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.

3. For high blood pressure sufferers - simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure on your veins. Remember to use a timer.

4. A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

5. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. Believe me, you'll be afraid to cough.

6. You only need two tools in life, WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

7. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Six Things You Need to Know

Or not. I was tagged by my new bloggy friend Tiffany Her blog is always worth a look!

Six Quirky Things About Me.....
I believe in my heart of hearts that:

1. I am a control freak but only about weird random stuff. Like coins in my car I need them all in order by size going from largest denomination to smallest. And I like to know the total of said coins! Why.... I got no clue

2. I want to go be on survivor ( yeah the reality show)

3. I think Nancy should go on big brother ! She could win it all in a heart beat.

4. I have to have pets no matter how much they drive me crazy or make me sad. They give more than they could ever take!

5. I have always had more guy friends than girl and now I am in a playgroup with 48 other moms!!! I am on unfamiliar ground...

6. When I start something new ( like blogging) I have to master it or I am super unhappy. HTML is a pain but then again I have only tried it once on my own... I will make my site look better. Or go crazy!!

And there you have it. Random crap about me. Yippy.

I tag: Nancy , Kelly , Mel , Sarah , Shannon M , Shannon O

Now go post 6 random things about you!

"I want to see the bones"

Yes you read it right. That is what my son said at the dinner table last night. Out of context it might seem strange but what ever gets my kid to sit down and eat is cool with me .

I have fed my kids fried chicken before but I always cut up the chicken but last night as we ate My son saw all the adults got to not only eat with their fingers but the chicken had bones!!!!!!

It rocked his world to say the least. He climbed down and snuggled up to daddy to peek at the chicken. He asked a few questions and then announced he wanted to try it our way. Okay we gave him a drum stick thinking it would be the easiest. With a huge smile he said he was going to bit the chicken and eat it all up to see the bones.

For some reason college flash backs to stupid movies came to mind. All I keep hearing is "Just look at the BONES" my mind is drawing a blank at he goofy movie its from. Giant rabbits, knight with out horses making clip clop sounds with coconuts. Is this ringing a bell with anyone. Maybe I truly have lost my brain.
EUREKA!! its Monty Pythons the holy grail. Did I really watch that? Okay I guess I did. Anyway here are a few pictures from our swim time at Babci and grandpops last night.

Frozen Watermelon Mojitos

Frozen Watermelon Mojitos

serves 2-4
2 cups frozen seedless watermelon
juice of 2 limes
10-15 mint leaves (depending on size)
1/2 cup light rum
4 Tbsp simple syrup or to taste (see recipe below)
1 1/2 - 2 cups ice

1.Cut a small seedless watermelon into chunks and place in the freezer. Allow a couple hours to freeze or at least get really frosty.
2. Simple syrup: In a small saucepan bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and stir to combine and dissolve. Remove from heat and place in a bottle or other container and refrigerate until cooled. Can be stored for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
3. In a blender combine all 6 ingredients until well blended and slushy. Should have the consistency of a daiquiri. Garnish with a wedge of watermelon, lime or mint sprig.

As a personal preference, I think that salt makes the flavor of the watermelon come out so I throw a pinch on the drinks.

The traditional mojito has club soda in it, so if you prefer a non-frozen mojito follow the above recipe, including the frozen watermelon, but leave out the ice. After blending pour into glasses filling only 3/4 full and then fill the rest with club soda.

Enjoy!!!

THANKS FOR THIS YUMMY RECIPE

I NEEDED A NEW SUMMER DRINK!!

Family "LOVE"

Ride um cowboy

The bathing Beast

The Bathing beauty

3 generations!
New hat and purse from the Dollar tree store!

She never smiles for pictures and she was really loving this session. My kids tend not to be good at posed shots they are candid all the way. Not to mention these were all spur of the moment photo sessions so clothes ended up being what ever we happen to be in that day.

Well today I want to share 13 pictures a wonderful photographer took! Her button is down below but you can click on any picture here to see her work!! My kids are not easy so" love them for who they are today" I always say! Shannon's photography gets better everyday and she never ceases to amaze me with her talent. I think the best thing she does is make the kids comfortable and they love her so it makes a session so much easier. She does not even know I am posting this Today. SURPRISE !

Show me your favorite pictures!!!

This is my brother Howard

Now tell me this does not look like my son???These pictures don't do either of them justice but they look sooo much alike. It is so amazing I gave birth to both my brothers mini me and my own. I thought I had out grown the childhood torture of having a brother and now I have my son who is him all over again. And now I know what it was like for our parents....

She is touching me. She is touching me....... over and over again yeah I love him now but back then I could have sold him and gotten a sister. Thankfully he married well and I have the sister I have always longed for... He is a better man and father all because she has had him in training.
